A couple of weeks after buying my first digital SLR camera, I was practically shooting everything in sight, no real focus, just fun. My friend’s daughter was sitting by a window, and I asked her if I could take her picture. She looked up at me, I snapped, and was instantly hooked on portraits and helping people record their life. I love being able to replay certain moments over and over by looking at the pictures, and I love using pictures to tell a story about an event.
I still shoot pictures of anything and everything for fun, but my focus has become event and lifestyle photography, meaning I specialize in people, portraits, and recording life events. It also means I shoot portraits on location, be that your house or somewhere you love, instead of in a studio. Oh, and I’m addicted to the sound of my shutter (shh, don’t tell anyone).
